HVAD ER KAPHA DOSHA I AYURVEDA?

In Ayurveda, the concept of doshas is fundamental to understanding individual constitution and health. The three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—represent different combinations of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether) and govern various physiological and psychological functions.

Each person has a unique balance of these doshas, which determines their physical characteristics, personality traits, and health tendencies.

WHAT IS THE KAPHA DOSHA?

The Kapha Dosha combines the elements of earth (Prithvi) and water (Jal). The qualities of Kapha are characterized by being slow, steady, moist, smooth, oily, cool, and heavy.

CHARACTERISTICS OF KAPHA-DOMINANT PEOPLE

Individuals with a dominant Kapha dosha typically have a robust build and frame, often with a radiant complexion, large eyes, and thick, lustrous hair. They are generally friendly, compassionate, and easy to be with, but their heavy qualities can sometimes lead to sluggishness and lethargy.

Kapha dosha hydrates cells and tissues, lubricates joints, moisturizes the skin, maintains immunity, and protects bodily tissues. Kapha is associated with water energy and embodies love and compassion. It influences the mind-body connection and represents structure, lubrication, and stability.
